Life is beautiful
So much sensed
So much remembered
So much to be thankful for
The smell
Of whatever you wash your hair in
Of a familiar kitchen
Of new electronics, fresh out of the box
The touch
Of cold fingers on my warm back
Of a well used shirt
Of a canvas kickbag, against raw knuckles
The taste
Of chocolate ice creams, in a snowstorm
Of warm honey and brandy
Of moist skin
The sound
Of a neighbor's television
Of fingers on a keyboard
Of the rustle outside a door, fumbling for keys
The sight
Of a familiar face
Of a muscle flexing, under perfect skin
Of rushing blackness, underwater in the Ganges
Life is beautiful
So much sensed
So much remembered
So much to be thankful for
